The Regen Cohort Model™
Each project is co-developed with local and Indigenous communities, ensuring that traditional knowledge and community priorities are fully embedded from the start
The Regen Cohort Model™ is our strategic pathway for supporting grassroots environmental initiatives from idea to full maturity. It’s designed to build capacity, foster leadership, and scale regenerative solutions through structured mentorship, training, and partnership.
At the heart of the model is the belief that local projects, when supported effectively, can lead by example, inspiring broader change in their communities and regions. Pilot Projects that emerge from this process serve not only as proof of concept, but as living models for restoration, community resilience, and sustainability.
We form new project cohorts approximately every 9–10 months, based on new membership and funding availability. Visit our Emerging Initiatives page to see all current projects. Depending on when in the cycle a project is submitted, there may be a waiting period before onboarding. To ensure high-quality support, we accept up to 10 new projects per cohort, keeping our approach personal, hands-on, and community-driven.
Importantly, all projects are designed with public health in mind, recognizing that ecosystem restoration is inseparable from clean water, food security, sanitation, and climate resilience in the communities we serve.
